Will there be Wind Turbines in the Ocean?

Professor Habib Dagher is the Director of the AEWC Advanced Structures and Composites Center , a state-of-the-art research and development laboratory, at the University of Maine in Orono.

Dr. Dagher also leads the DeepCWind Consortium, recently awarded $8 million  from  the U.S. Dept. of Energy  program to develop floating offshore wind technologies with the first experimental turbine to be placed near Monhegan at the end of 2011.
